“The energy used to operate buildings is one of the most significant sources of greenhouse gas emissions,” writes Pablo La Roche, a professor of architecture at Cal Poly Pomona University. His comprehensive book Carbon-Neutral Architectural Design describes how to reduce buildings' greenhouse gas emissions through innovative design techniques. He has written extensively about low energy and carbon neutral architecture, with an emphasis on control of energy flows through passive heating and cooling strategies. Pablo currently leads a class of 100 driven Cal Poly Pomona students, welcoming more sustainable architecture experts into the field.
